A block of rooms has been reserved under the name "RDX Workshop" for the night of Wednesday, May 14 at the rate of $72. It is necessary to ask for the hotel's free shuttle service to/from the airport when you are making your reservation.

Registration: Registration is free of charge, but space is limited. Please register by April 18, 2008.

The main objective of this workshop is to convene members of federal, states, research and non-governmental communities who are engaged in generating, managing, distributing and using geospatial datasets for Great Lakes coastal zone issues. Particular emphasis is placed on including representatives from the Great Lakes Coastal Zone Management community and from organization representatives engaged in Lakewide Management Plans (LaMPS).

Discussion will focus on the substantial efforts put forth in developing comprehensive metadata compilation strategies, distributed web mapping applications and integrating geospatial data tools such as the Great Lakes Information Network (GLIN) Maps and GIS and the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC) Ramona GIS.
